Searching the Goodridge Court Docket
Start with Minnesota Court Records Online, called MCRO, for any filed Goodridge matter. It is the statewide public-access service covering Pennington County District Court cases. The city publishes no Goodridge municipal-court docket, judge, calendar, citation lookup, or payment portal. A call to Goodridge city hall is no substitute for the court record. That holds once a case is filed.
Start with the number itself. The best Goodridge docket search uses the complete citation or case number on the ticket, notice, or prior court record. MCRO tolerates dashes and leading zeroes but rejects spaces and partial numbers. A name search helps when no number is known. Narrow it with the Pennington location, date, category, or case status. Only do that when those facts are solid.
- Open MCRO and select Citation Number or Case Number for a Goodridge notice with a complete identifier.
- Enter the full number exactly enough to avoid spaces or missing digits, then select Find.
- If no Goodridge number is available, search the person or business name and select Pennington court locations.
- Review the matching Register of Actions for court, category, events, hearing, and status.
- Confirm a Goodridge hearing through the daily calendar, Hearing Search, or Court Administration.
Note: Goodridge is not an MCRO search field, so the city name alone cannot find a court case. A Goodridge citation or a Goodridge court notice supplies the working identifiers.
Goodridge Court Starting Point
Goodridge counted 112 residents in the 2020 Census. That makes it the smallest of Pennington County’s three incorporated cities. Court access runs straight through the county system. Goodridge has no local courthouse of its own. The city is a Pennington municipality in the official record, but it offers no published city court portal or citation search.
A Goodridge question starts in one of two places. Ask the issuing agency about a city office, ordinance, or administrative citation. Ask Pennington County District Court about a filed case, court date, plea, judgment, or certified record. The same event can sit behind both doors. Each office keeps different records and answers different questions.
After filing, Goodridge shares the county trial court route. So do St. Hilaire and Thief River Falls. Where a matter began does not create a separate docket tier. Every Goodridge case enters the same District Court system.
Goodridge Municipal Court Basics
“Goodridge Municipal Court” is a popular search phrase, not a working court portal. The city posts no docket, judge, calendar, citation lookup, or payment system. That leaves room for an administrative or ordinance process. It does mean something. A city name on a citation does not by itself point to a city court or a certified-copy office.
Any filed Goodridge matter routes through Pennington County District Court. Traffic, criminal, civil, family, probate, and juvenile cases all count. The courthouse is the Pennington County Justice Center. Its address is 141 Main Ave S, Thief River Falls, MN 56701. Court Administration answers at (218) 684-7000. Hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Goodridge Case Numbers and 57
Goodridge court numbers often reveal the Pennington filing route, since Pennington uses county prefix 57. Public format examples include 57-CR-25-156 for a criminal matter, 57-CV-23-165 for a civil matter, and 57-PR-24-850 for a probate matter. Each pattern shows a county code, case type, filing year, and sequence. None identifies a particular person or case.
For a Goodridge citation, MCRO’s Citation Number tab is usually more direct. Try that before a name lookup. Use the Case Number tab once court papers carry a case number. Names of people or businesses can be searched too. Use exact fields, Sounds Like, or a trailing wildcard after two known characters. Sounds Like and a wildcard cannot be combined in one Goodridge MCRO search. The county prefix is the local court signal.
| Goodridge paper or fact | Use first | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Citation number | MCRO Citation Number | Case Details and Register |
| Case number beginning 57 | MCRO Case Number | Hearing Search or daily calendar |
| Name only | MCRO Name tab | Pennington, date, category filters |
| City-issued notice without court number | Issuing agency | Ask whether it was filed in District Court |
Court Dates and Settings in Goodridge
The District Court schedules a Goodridge hearing once the matter is filed. A Pennington calendar entry can list location, date, time, judicial officer, hearing type, file-or-appear information, administrative conference, connection type, role, case number, page, and printed time. An entry proves a scheduled hearing, not that every court action or document is public.
Search the PDF with the case number. Then compare the result against the Register of Actions. MCRO Hearing Search also works by case number. It also takes name, judicial officer, attorney, date, category, and Pennington location. Is a Goodridge setting, connection format, or appearance requirement unclear? Call Court Administration for case-specific answers.
| Location | The court place listed for the Goodridge-related hearing. |
|---|---|
| Date and time | The scheduled setting fields that can change by court action. |
| Judicial officer | The officer named in the calendar entry. |
| Hearing type | The event label, such as arraignment, motion hearing, review, or trial. |
| Connection type | The remote or in-person context to verify from a current court notice. |
Goodridge Calendar Confirmation
Court Administration posts the Pennington daily calendar PDF at 7:00 a.m. on business days. It refreshes the file hourly. For a Goodridge hearing, it is a quick courtroom check. Still, the paper calendar beats any saved copy. Look for it outside the courtroom or in the public lobby. Treat a PDF you downloaded as a snapshot, not a final change notice.
The calendar is not a full docket. Some Goodridge matters will not appear. Nothing is scheduled that day. Others stay off the list when public access is limited. Begin with the Register of Actions instead. Then check the calendar and Hearing Search. When those sources disagree, call Court Administration before you miss a Goodridge setting. One calendar glance is just one step in confirming a Goodridge court date.
- Continuance

Traffic Tickets in Goodridge
Start with the ticket itself. A Goodridge traffic ticket carries its own response date, court location, and instructions for paying or appearing. Read it closely before anything else. The paper may point to a city office or agency. Once filed, it sits with Pennington County District Court. Goodridge itself offers no citation portal. If you have the full ticket number, use the Citation Number tab in MCRO. It is the fastest docket search tool available.
One caution about name searches. Pending traffic and petty-misdemeanor cases without a conviction can be suppressed from MCRO defendant-name results. So a blank name search does not prove the citation was never filed. Search the exact citation or case number instead. If the ticket names a city office and lists no court case number, ask that office. Find out whether the matter stayed administrative or moved to District Court. Court Administration can sort out anything left unclear.
Paying a fine is not the same as a court docket search. It is also not a certified disposition. Whatever the citation says about payment or contesting governs. For citation detail across the county, see Pennington traffic tickets. Keep every Goodridge ticket question tied to the citation in hand.
Goodridge Blank Result Fallback
A blank Goodridge search result is a prompt to work the fallback steps. It is not proof that no court matter exists. First check the number for a missing digit or stray space. If you searched by name, try the Citation Number tab instead. A known case number can be entered directly. Pending traffic and petty-misdemeanor matters may stay hidden from name searches until a conviction lands. Sealed, confidential, or category-specific access rules can wall off other Goodridge records.
The next stop is MNPAC. That is the Minnesota Public Access terminal inside a district courthouse. MNPAC often gives a wider public electronic view than remote MCRO. It cannot override a seal or a confidential classification. From there, Court Administration can handle an older, inaccessible, or uncertified Goodridge item. It can tell you whether a request should name a specific event or document.
Still blocked? File a Rule 7 request. Include the case or citation number, the approximate year, and the category. Name the document or event you want. State the copy type. Leave out Social Security numbers and any financial details the request does not need. Precision is what makes a Goodridge court records request succeed.
Where Goodridge Cases Go
Goodridge has no city docket portal of its own. For an issuing question, the city or agency notice comes first. But once a Goodridge matter is filed, it becomes a Pennington County District Court case. It is searchable in MCRO wherever public access allows. Everything after that runs through the county court. The Register of Actions, the hearing record, orders, the disposition, judgments, and certified copies are all county court business.
Court record flow: Goodridge issuing agency or notice › Pennington County District Court and MCRO › Register of Actions, hearing, or court-file request.
Goodridge, St. Hilaire, and Thief River Falls all funnel filed cases through this same District Court route. An appeal from District Court goes to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, not to any Goodridge court record page. The city has no separate appellate docket layer.
Goodridge Court Record Access Rules
Access to Goodridge court records runs through the Minnesota Judicial Branch rules. That applies once a case lands in District Court. Two statewide tools matter here. MCRO can display a Register of Actions along with any documents cleared for public view. MNPAC offers a wider set of electronic files, but only at a courthouse terminal. Even so, visibility is never total. A Goodridge case stays under court control. Pieces of it can remain restricted while others appear online.
Plenty of categories stay limited or vanish entirely. Think sealed files, juvenile matters, domestic-abuse and harassment cases, civil commitments, and family-protected records. What shows up remotely also shifts with the document category and its filing date. So a blank search result proves nothing. Before concluding no Goodridge court record exists, ask Court Administration which legal access route applies to the situation.
Key Rules:
Rule 8 governs remote and in-person public access to Judicial Branch records.
Rule 4 defines access categories for restricted and nonpublic court records.
Minn. Stat. 13.03 supplies Minnesota’s general public-data access framework.
Goodridge Copy and Scam Check
Need a certified copy of a Goodridge court record? Start with Pennington Court Administration. The court's copy-request instructions cover in-person, mail, and case-filing requests. Pick the route that fits. In your request, give the Goodridge case or citation number, the document or event you want, the rough date, how many copies, and whether you want them plain, certified, or exemplified. An MCRO lookup helps you locate the docket entry first. It is not certified, though.
Fees vary by format. The current fee schedule lists many plain copy types at $0, subject to verification. Certified records generally run $14. Exemplified copies generally cost $14 without certification or $28 with it. For any Goodridge traffic ticket or court demand, rely on the published number, (218) 684-7000. Stick with official court URLs too. An unsolicited call, text, or message demanding immediate payment is not a court notice. Verify through the court's published contact before you pay anyone.
| Goodridge need | Official route | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Public remote lookup | MCRO | Eligible results are unofficial |
| Broader courthouse access | MNPAC | Restrictions still apply |
| Certified copy | Pennington Court Administration | Generally $14, verify current fees |
| Unexpected payment demand | Published court number and official URL | Verify before acting |
